I mentioned the other day about how I don't really have a true understanding of God's unconditional love for me. This song hit me at the core today. Wow. Amazing how the Holy Spirit can use something you heard before in a whole new way to really speak words that need to be heard.

Come Back Abe
Given all the haggling over the stimulus bill and an administration that has socialistic tendencies, it might be good to remember some very wise words from 150 years ago.

Time
It seems as though I am having more times
Where I am growing weary of time
It is never ceasing
Always pressing forward
Undaunted by wishes of the opposite
The next second appears
Whether you are ready or not
Whether you desire it or not
That life is finite is not lost upon me
Though the shortness of it is increasingly disturbing
I know I can not reverse its path
Though it would be nice for it to rest a spell
Alas it will not
And so I press forward as it does
Until eternity
Where it will be my foe no more
